No 3 Mk 1w' British military magazine fed bolt action service rifle chambered in .303 British, manufactured in the United States circa 1914-1916. Features a blued finish, 26" barrel, protected blade front sight, receiver mounted flip-up ladder style aperture sight graduated to 1,600 yards, volley sights, metal forend cap/barrel band with bayonet lug & piling swivel, serrated trigger, internal 6 round box magazine, manual safety on the right side of the receiver, bent bolt handle, charge loading guide cuts in the receiver, tan canvas "No Buckle" sling, smooth wood handguard, forend and semi pistol grip shoulder stock with wood plug where brass disc was & trapdoor metal buttplate. Serial numbers match on the receiver and bolt handle. The stock is marked "PT C"(inside a circle)/”PATT 14" , with rack number "259 painted on left buttstock. There is a dab of white paint on the handguard The receiver is marked with British military proofs. Rifle retains approximately 75% of its black painted finish with scratches, handling/edge wear. Action is smooth, the bore appears very good/bright, and the wood stocks are good with many blemishes. No visible import marks. Condition is near NRA Very Good C&R Firearm
